Ensuring Data Quality in Information Systems Management

Managing the quality of data within an organization is a challenging task. In order to ensure that an organization’s data is updated, complete, accurate, relevant, accessible, and presentable, various data quality management techniques have to be in place.

Choose a private and a public sector organization of your choice and analyze how to improve the quality of data in them. Create a two- to three-page report in Microsoft Word that does the following:

Provides a brief introduction to the private and the public sector organizations you have chosen
Defines data quality and its role within private and public sector organizations
States the inherent problems with data quality within your chosen organizations
Compares the similarities and differences in data quality in general and data quality problems between private sector and public sector organizations in particular
Recommends the management techniques to improve data quality for both organizations
Provide appropriate rationale and examples to support your answers
