In Chapter 9, you read about four criteria that need to be met in order for contact between hostile groups to decrease prejudices. Gaining public support and awareness for anti-prejudice social norms.

  1. Increasing contact with members of other social groups.
  2. Making people aware of the inconsistencies in their own beliefs.
  3. Passing laws and regulations that require fair and equal treatment for all people.
  4. In this assignment, you will reflect on these criteria and develop a program to reduce prejudice.                                   Compose an essay that includes the following components: an explanation of how one’s tendency to perceive others using either the halo effect or the fundamental attribution error could contribute to developing prejudices, a description of the four criteria used to reduce prejudice for groups, and a discussion of the two criteria that you think are most important and why.

You must also access the Waldorf Online Library to find a peer-reviewed empirical article that provides supporting evidence

for at least one of the two criteria you selected as most important above. In the library database PsycARTICLES, put your

search criteria in the Advanced Search, and then limit to the Research Methodology of Empirical Study. These specific kinds of studies are also located in peer-reviewed scholarly journals.

After providing a brief overview of the article’s main findings, address the following points.

Describe a prejudice reduction program you could implement based on the two criteria that you previously selected as most important.

Explain why you believe this program will be effective by drawing on research concerning prejudice and discrimination.

Discuss how the program would be implemented. Be specific in who would be targeted, where this program would take place, and how you see the program being executed.

Your response should be at least two pages in length. You must use at least two academic sources as references for your paper, and at least one source must come from the Waldorf Online Library. All sources used, including the textbook, must be referenced, and paraphrased and quoted material must have accompanying citations. Please format your paper and all citations in accordance with APA guidelines.

I need 6 pages APA 7th edition for my social work class please.

Policy AnalysisAssignment Overview

This assignment builds on the previous components of this research project, where you identified a social problem and selected a federal policy that affects it.

Once social workers have located a policy that addresses a social problem, the next step is to analyze the policy’s development and potential impacts. In other words, does the policy resolve or mitigate the issue? Looking at China’s one-child policy, you would want to know whether it is indeed reducing fertility rates. Next, you would want to know if the policy has any unintended consequences that must also be addressed. For example, China’s one-child policy has led to significant labor shortages in the country.

Assignment Description

In this assignment, you will analyze the federal policy you chose to address your social justice issue, including providing background of the development of the policy and evaluating its effectiveness and feasibility. Remember that the feasibility of a policy relates not only to its economic feasibility, but also to its political and social impact. You will also identify the policy constraints that inhibit the policy from most effectively reaching your targeted population.

Continue to consult Congress.gov, the Government Accountability Office, public policy analysis research and reports, and other peer-reviewed research to support your analysis. Also, use the NASW Code of Ethics Web page to guide your analysis.

Topic: Comparing tools used to the administering of a K-12 school budget.

This Discussion Board focuses on tools and techniques used in administering a K–12 budget. As a grade level leader, you will have to have a working knowledge of the tools used to make sure that your budget is adequately funded in all areas. Use these websites as you compare the tools used by two different systems.

The first site is:

Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction. (n.d.). Special education funding in Washington state.

https://www.k12.wa.us/policy-funding/special-education-funding-and-finance/special-education-funding-washington-state

The second site is:

Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. (n.d.). School finance tools.

https://dese.mo.gov/financial-admin-services/school-finance/calculation-tools

Upon review of these two websites, pick one similar tool from each site, as well as one tool that is relevant only to that particular state, and answer the questions below:

  • What elements were common between the two similar tools?
  • Did you notice any differences in the tools that were only relevant to that particular state?
  • Were there any unique tools from the two sites that stood out to you and why?
  • What were the tools used in both states that you would feel comfortable using today if you were in charge of that budget?
